Welcome to CITA Rescue Mission

We’re glad you’re here. CITA (Christ Is the Answer) Rescue Mission has served the Space Coast since 1969. From the beginning, our purpose has stayed the same: Christ must stay at the center—because He is the One who transforms lives.

In this short welcome video, CEO and President, Dr. Buddy Morrow, shares how CITA serves people in crisis across two campuses—and why this work is possible only because of friends and partners like you.

  • 52-bed men’s recovery campus on Harbor City Boulevard.
  • Helen’s House serving up to 32 women and children during times of crisis, providing safety, stability, and Christ-centered restoration.
  • No government funding—so Christ remains the center.
  • You’re invited to call or take a tour.
CITA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Melbourne and Brevard County since 1969. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. CITA receives no government funding. Your support and prayers make this work possible.

Story Spotlight

A Fresh Start Is Possible.

Beth lost everything—her marriage, her home, her job—and spent a year living on the streets with nowhere to feel safe. When she heard CITA was building a shelter for women and mothers with children, she kept calling, week after week, asking for help. On June 10, 2024, she became the first guest admitted to Helen’s House—and her life began to change.

“I know now that I am loved deeply by God, and He has a great purpose for my life.”

Be the Reason Someone Finds Hope.

Volunteers help make the day-to-day mission possible—serving meals, supporting special events, sorting and pricing donations in the thrift store, assisting with donation pickup days, and helping with projects like cleaning, organizing, and light maintenance. Your time matters here.
