July 2026 Ministry Update
Sharing some of what God did through Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission in July.
From faithful churches and volunteers to daily discipleship, generous donations, and stories of purpose being restored, July was another month filled with reminders of God’s provision.
Welcome
Christ is still changing lives.
Each month, we want to give you a closer look at what God is doing through the mission. Thank you for taking a few moments to celebrate answered prayers, meet some of the people serving alongside us, and see practical ways you can help men, women, and children find true life transformation and hope in Jesus Christ.
Featured Story
Lyndsey’s Testimony of Purpose
Lyndsey’s journey with CITA is nothing short of inspirational. Once known for her impatience, she found herself in a season of waiting—a season that would profoundly change her life. During her time at CITA, Lyndsey has deepened her relationship with God, discovering a love and purpose she never knew existed.
Through engaging church services and Bible studies, she has witnessed God’s hand at work in her life. The Gospel of Matthew has become a guiding light, bringing her peace and acceptance as she learns to cherish the journey rather than focus only on the destination.
“God has a plan for me.”
This renewed spiritual growth has given Lyndsey a deep assurance that her heavenly Father has a divine purpose for her. With that understanding has come a remarkable peace about the future and the comforting truth that she is never alone.
Now, as Lyndsey flourishes within the ministry at Helen’s House, she embodies a spirit of service and dedication. While honing her skills in the office, she has become an invaluable team member and is often the voice you hear when you call. Her growing proficiency in Microsoft software, Canva, artificial intelligence tools, customer service, and volunteer training reflects her commitment to both personal and professional growth.
Lyndsey’s story is a testimony to the power of faith, patient perseverance, and community support. Through the prayers and generous giving of faithful supporters, she—and many others like her—can continue growing, serving, and embracing the purpose God has placed before them.

Volunteer Spotlight
Greater Palm Bay Church of God
Every Thursday, members of Greater Palm Bay Church of God faithfully provide and serve lunch to the men in our residential program. Their consistency offers much more than a meal—it brings encouragement, fellowship, prayer, and a reminder that our residents are seen and cared for by the body of Christ.
We are deeply grateful for this church family and for every volunteer who returns week after week to serve with humility and love. Partnerships like this strengthen the mission and help create the dependable community support that is so important during a season of life transformation.
Volunteer Opportunity
Two Volunteer Bible Study Leaders Needed
“Commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:2, NKJV
Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission is looking for two Christian men who have a heart for discipleship and a desire to see lives transformed through Jesus Christ. These volunteers will lead Bible studies for the men in our residential program two evenings each week.
What the opportunity includes
- Two evenings each week, with flexibility in choosing days that work for the volunteer and the program.
- Studies may begin between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
- CITA provides an easy-to-lead curriculum, so extensive preparation is not required.
- Volunteers should be dependable, relational, and willing to commit for at least six months, with the hope of serving for one year or longer.
- Leaders must agree with CITA’s Statement of Faith and teach within the provided curriculum, remaining focused on the Gospel and the clear truths of Scripture.

Thrift Stores
Every purchase helps support the mission.
Our thrift stores are an important part of funding the daily work of Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission. When people shop, donate, volunteer, and share our stores with others, they help provide practical support for ministry happening across both campuses.
In July, we welcomed Jerry as the new assistant manager at our Men’s Campus Thrift Store. Jerry brings a servant’s heart, a strong work ethic, and a desire to help create a welcoming experience for every shopper and donor who walks through the door.
Through our thrift stores, gently used items are given new purpose while helping support shelter, meals, discipleship, and Christ-centered care for the men, women, and children we serve.

Featured Ministry Needs
Help Meet Practical and Discipleship Needs This Month
Helen’s House currently needs practical items such as diapers, eggs, and cleaning supplies to help care for the women and children in our program. At the Men’s Campus, we are also preparing to launch new Bible studies in August and need discipleship resources such as Bibles, notebooks, pens, and other study materials.
Every item donated helps reduce daily operating costs and provides residents with the practical care and spiritual resources they need as they work toward stability, growth, and true life transformation.
Program Graduation & Aftercare
Tommy is beginning a new chapter.
Just over a year ago, Tommy was leaving federal prison with nowhere to go. He had no family to turn to, no job, no money, no transportation, and no clear direction for the future.
Today, by the grace of God and through the support he received at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission, Tommy has graduated from our residential program, moved into a place of his own, and entered CITA’s aftercare program. He now has a job, reliable transportation, money in the bank, and a growing foundation for the future.
Most importantly, Tommy has come to know Jesus Christ and gives God the glory for the new life he has found. His story is a reminder that no one is beyond God’s reach and that true life transformation comes through the power of the Gospel.
“CITA saved my life.” — Tommy
Aftercare allows CITA to continue walking alongside graduates like Tommy as they adjust to independent living, remain connected to Christian community, and build on the progress they made during the residential program.
Monthly Partnership
Become a Waymaker
Stories like Tommy’s are built one faithful day at a time. Waymakers provide the steady monthly support that helps CITA continue the work God has called us to do—from the first night of shelter through discipleship, employment preparation, program graduation, and aftercare. Because we receive no government funding, recurring gifts help sustain this entire journey for men, women, and children in need.
Every amount matters—from $5 to $500 and beyond. When many people faithfully give what they can, together they create the dependable foundation that allows life-changing ministry to continue month after month.
Why Monthly Giving Matters
Consistent support helps provide consistent care.
The needs of the people we serve do not happen only once. Meals are served every day. Beds, utilities, transportation, counseling, discipleship, and staff support are needed month after month. Waymakers help CITA plan responsibly, respond to needs quickly, and continue walking alongside residents throughout the full journey of transformation.

Coming Up at CITA
The 3rd Annual Reason to Ride Motorcycle Run
Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 19, 2026. The 3rd Annual Reason to Ride Motorcycle Run benefits CITA’s Center for Women and Children—Helen’s House.
Our committee has been working hard to make this a meaningful day of community, awareness, and support. You do not need to own or ride a motorcycle to make a difference. You can attend, donate, sponsor, volunteer, share the event, or simply come enjoy the day with us.
Pray With Us
Prayer Requests
We are deeply grateful for those who faithfully pray for this ministry. This month, please pray with us in these specific ways:
- Pray for the men, women, and children currently in our programs as they pursue healing, stability, and a closer walk with Christ.
- Pray for continued life transformation through the Gospel and for residents to understand God’s purpose for their lives.
- Pray that God will provide two faithful Christian men to lead the new evening Bible studies at our Men’s Campus.
- Pray for wisdom, strength, unity, and spiritual protection for CITA’s staff and leadership.
- Pray for the churches, volunteers, donors, and community partners who faithfully serve alongside the mission.
- Pray for God’s provision for Helen’s House, the Men’s Campus, our thrift stores, and the upcoming Reason to Ride fundraiser.
Scripture for the Month
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Hebrews 6:10, NKJV
Throughout July, we saw this labor of love displayed again and again through churches serving meals, volunteers helping in our thrift stores, people sharing God’s Word, donors meeting practical needs, and faithful supporters praying and giving. Much of this service happens quietly, but none of it is unseen by God—and every act of faithfulness helps point someone toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Thank You
