Biography
Tanya Salter serves as Program Director for Christ is the Answer Rescue Mission, providing leadership for the Center for Women & Children, our thrift stores, and helping guide programs that support women and families on their journey from crisis to stability, self-sufficiency, and hope. She is passionate about creating environments where individuals are treated with dignity, compassion, and the love of Christ while receiving the practical support needed to rebuild their lives.
Before joining CITA, Tanya spent many years serving in nonprofit ministry leadership, social services, and counseling-related roles. She has directed nonprofit programs, managed group homes, provided social work services, and operated a private counseling practice in New York before relocating to Florida.
As a pastor’s wife for many years, she also played an active role in ministry, discipleship, community outreach, and supporting families through life's challenges. Through both professional and ministry leadership, Tanya has devoted her career to helping people navigate difficult circumstances and discover hope for the future.
With a master’s degree and a heart for faith-based service, Tanya brings together professional experience, ministry leadership, and a deep commitment to helping people discover hope and purpose. She works closely with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to strengthen CITA’s mission of restoring lives and transforming futures.
