I have been taught about Jesus since I was a young child and was saved when I was 16 years old. At 18, my father and 2 brothers had a boating accident that left my youngest brother without air and clinically dead for 10 minutes. Almost immediately in learning of this, a prayer chain started in the Church. I was scared I was going to lose my baby brother and prayed to Jesus to save him nonstop for the next 2 days. On the third day, he was off all assistance from a ventilator at Arnold Palmer Hospital with no brain damage and back to normal. I know it was Jesus who saved my brother. It was a miracle. It was then that I knew Jesus was real. Over the years, I had fallen away from God with the help of drugs and alcohol and on June 29, 2019 my actions landed me in jail. I took a plea agreement to avoid a possible 5 years in prison. Part of the agreement was a 6 month or longer rehab program. I was accepted at Dunklin Memorial, but after 4 months, I was dismissed from the program and told to go to the Brevard County Jail, unless I could enroll in another program that day. I stopped by CITA on the way home and was accepted. I have no doubt that CITA was where God wanted me to be all along. After being at CITA for a couple of months, my mother began to tell me about how Johnny Ellison used to keep me busy when I was a toddler while she would shop in the Thrift Store. Since I've been at CITA, I've been treated with nothing but kindness from the staff and management. I've also reconciled with my children and my parents. I've gotten my license back and now have a good job and savings- all because Christ Is The Answer.
